Copps wants to make a difference in the communities we serve. We believe passionately in giving back to the neighborhoods and towns that support our stores. In addition to our formal community support store programs, we are actively engaged at the local level serving community groups and non-profit organizations through a variety of activities.
Copps offers local non-profit organizations an alternative fundraising opportunity as a result of our partnership with the Great Lakes Scrip Center (GLSC) and its gift card program. With this program, organizations are able to raise money more effectively by allowing community members to turn their everyday grocery shopping into a good cause. The program operates by selling Copps gift cards to local non-profit organizations at a discounted rate. The organization then sells the purchased the gift cards at face value, in turn earning the organization a rebate on every card.
Copps also works with the Roundy’s Foundation, which was chartered in 2003 to help the communities Copps serves. The Roundy’s Foundation supplies hundreds of tons of food to community pantries in Wisconsin, Minnesota and Illinois. It also supports organizations that shelter women and children who encounter domestic and sexual abuse, and educational programs and institutions that advance the development of talent within the grocery industry.
